Terms of Engagement
The following terms outline the foundational agreement under which METARITHMIKA provides its accounting and financial services. By engaging our services, you acknowledge and accept these terms.
1. Progress Updates
We are committed to keeping you informed about the progress of your file. In return, we expect prompt and open communication from you regarding any new developments, changes, or information that may impact your file. Clear communication is essential for ensuring accurate and efficient service.
2. Confidentiality and Privacy
We respect the confidentiality of the relationship between you and METARITHMIKA. All materials, data, and information shared with us will be treated as strictly confidential. These will not be disclosed to any third party without your prior written consent unless required by law. Our handling of personal information complies with applicable privacy legislation.
3. Email and Technology Usage
We may communicate with you via email or other electronic means. Information relating to your engagement may be transmitted using standard internet communication tools, such as email, or through cloud-based services. While we implement security measures to protect electronic communications and data, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information shared online. You agree to the risks associated with electronic communication.
4. Fee Estimates and Hourly Rates
Any fee estimates provided for our services are approximations based on the expected scope of work and are not binding unless explicitly agreed upon in writing. Our hourly rates are subject to review and may be adjusted periodically based on market conditions, industry standards, or internal policies. If rates change, we will notify you in advance.
5. Disbursements and Charges
Our services may involve additional charges and disbursements, both internally (e.g., administrative costs) and externally (e.g., third-party fees). All charges are structured to reflect the actual costs incurred during the engagement and will be included in your billing.
6. Subcontractors and Experts
We reserve the right to engage qualified subcontractors, consultants, and subject matter experts to assist in delivering our services. This may occur without prior approval from you. We will ensure that any external parties engaged uphold the same professional standards and confidentiality requirements as METARITHMIKA.
7. Accounting Advice
Unless specifically outlined in our engagement letter, this agreement does not include the provision of detailed accounting advice, written reports, or evaluations of specific financial transactions. If you require such services, they will be subject to a separate engagement agreement.
8. Ownership and Timeframes
Any materials, documents, or work products created during the engagement remain the intellectual property of METARITHMIKA unless otherwise agreed upon. We strive to complete the agreed-upon work within the timeframes provided. However, we are not responsible for delays caused by factors outside of our control, including unforeseen circumstances or delays in receiving necessary information from you.
9. Legal Process Costs
You agree to compensate us for any time spent and costs incurred in responding to legal requests, subpoenas, or other legal processes that involve information obtained during the course of your engagement. This may include, but is not limited to, court appearances, depositions, or document production.
10. Tax Advice
While we may provide general guidance on certain tax-related matters, METARITHMIKA does not provide detailed tax or fiscal advice beyond our expertise. We recommend consulting a specialized tax professional or advisor for comprehensive tax planning, compliance, or analysis. Any specific tax advice we provide will require a separate engagement agreement.
11. Billing and Payments
Invoices for our services are typically issued on a monthly basis and are payable upon receipt. Any account that remains unpaid beyond the due date may incur interest charges at a rate specified in the invoice. Persistent non-payment may result in the suspension or termination of services.
12. Lien Over Funds and Property
By engaging our services, you grant METARITHMIKA a lien over any funds or property in our possession related to your file. This lien serves as security for any outstanding balances on your account. The lien remains in effect until all amounts owed are paid in full.
13. File Retention and Privacy
We retain the right to securely destroy files or documents associated with your engagement if they remain dormant for a specified period, as determined by industry practices, or in compliance with legal obligations. This may occur unless you request otherwise in writing or applicable laws mandate longer retention periods.

14. Corporate Information
METARITHMIKA is a Canadian corporation that provides administrative, accounting, and bookkeeping services. Our company complies with Canadian corporate laws and is duly registered as per legal requirements.
15. Termination of Services
You or METARITHMIKA may terminate this engagement at any time by providing reasonable notice in writing. Upon termination, you are responsible for settling any outstanding fees or expenses for services rendered up to the termination date.
16. Amendments to Terms
These Terms of Engagement may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices or legal requirements. You will be notified of any material changes, and by continuing to use our services, you agree to the updated terms.
